How to Play Roulette
It's an easy game to play and briefly explained with a ball of ivory that rotates in the wheel of total of 37 numbers, 0-36, and the kinetic energy of the ball and the wheel decreases the ball will end its journey haphazardly on one of the 37 numbers.
As a player, one try's to anticipate, where the ball is going to stop and prior to the number coming up making one's choice and place a wager on one or several numbers. The player wagers against the bank independently of other participants.
Place your Bets
Next step is to choose the value of your chips and then place your bets accordingly. The croupier (dealer) then announces "No more bets, please" and seconds later the wheel starts spinning. Online it is also common with functions for repeating the last bet or bets within the game.
La Partage
When zero (0) is the winning number, all even money bets, i.e. Rouge/Noir (red/black), Pair/Impair (even/odd) and Manque/Passe (1-18/19-36) loose only half the amount wagered.
Single Bets
There is a total of 8 different possibilities to single bets. Each bet covers different numbers and holds a different pay distribution.
Plein
Place your chips on one number only, including the zero. (straight up)
Cheval
Place your chips on the line between two numbers including the zero. (split bet)
Transversal Plein
Select which row, this by the long line. Street bet covers three numbers and a transversal plein bet can also be placed on the zero, i.e. on the cross of 0, 1 and 2.
Carre
Place the chip in the cross where four numbers meet. You will be playing on all four numbers. (corner bet)
Transversal Simple
A line bet consists of two street bets that are marked by a counter. Along the long line you mark in the t-cross and cover six numbers i.e. 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9. (line bet)
Dozen Bet
Here you can mark 12 numbers by putting your bet in one of the three marked boxes, 12P (1st dozen), 12M (2nd dozen) and 12D (3rd dozen).
Column Bet
On the short side of the Roulette table there are three "empty" boxes, and by placing your chips in one of these you mark all numbers above, excluding 0. Totally you will be marking 12 numbers.
Rouge/Noir, Pair/Impair, Manque/Passe
A chip put in one of these boxes, put along the long side of the table closest to the player, makes it possible to cover half the table. What you are playing on is described in respectively box. Zero (0) is not covered by these boxes. Each box covers 18 numbers. (red/black), (even/odd), (low/high 1-18 and 19-36)
