SIXENSE™ — progressive poker beyond five cards

SIXENSE is a completed five-card hand — and one final decision. Built around two betting rounds and an optional sixth card. Player and dealer each receive three hole cards. The player may fold or bet before the fourth card, fold or raise before the fifth card, then either proceed to showdown or make one final decision — surrender Ante to go SIXTH and receive a sixth card before the final hand is determined.

The Game

SIXENSE uses standard five-card poker rankings within a new Structure of Play centred on progressive commitment before the final showdown, either holding five or six cards before the final hand is determined 

The player and dealer each receive three hole cards. The player may then fold or Bet x1 Ante before a fourth card is dealt, fold or Raise x1 Bet before the fifth card is dealt. Holding a completed five-card hand, the player may either proceed to showdown or go SIXTH by surrender Ante, and receive a sixth card before the final hand is played.

A winning hand pays on the Bet. Ante pushes on a five-card winning hand. Going SIXTH surrenders Ante; it is not returned on a six-card win. A losing hand forfeits both Ante and Bet. 

The player must hold One Pair or better and beat the dealer to win. Equal hand values push. There is no dealer qualification requirement.

Standard poker hand comparison and applicable kickers determine the winning hand.
