RIVIÉRE™ — the fifth river can be challenged

The player begins with three visible cards and decides whether to enter the hand. A fourth card develops the hand — Fold or Raise.

A fifth card completes the player’s visible hand. From there, the player may proceed directly to showdown or raise once more to reject the fifth river card and receive a final replacement.

The dealer’s fourth and fifth cards remain hidden until showdown.

The river is certain. The decision is not.

The Game

RIVIÉRE uses standard five-card poker rankings within Certainty Exchange.

Player and dealer each begin with three face-up cards. The player may Fold or Bet x1 Ante.

The player’s fourth card is revealed. The player may Fold or Raise x1 Ante.

The player’s fifth card is revealed, completing the visible hand. The player may then proceed to showdown or Raise x1 Ante to reject the fifth river card and draw a final replacement.

The dealer’s fourth and fifth cards remain hidden until showdown.

One Pair or better is required to win. The player must also beat the dealer’s five-card hand.

There is no dealer qualification requirement. Equal hand values push.

Ante to Play

The Ante establishes participation and the value of the subsequent Bet and Raise decisions.

On any winning hand, the Ante pushes and is returned to the player. The Ante does not pay and does not participate in the poker paytable.

Winnings are paid on all active Bet/Raise units.

On a true tie, all active wagers — including Ante — push.

Standard poker hand comparison and applicable kickers determine the winning hand.
