Hard Eight Poker™ — strategic card play, staged decisions

Sequential Decisions

Hard Eight Poker

Hard Eight Poker

Built on classic mechanics, refined for modern casino play. Hard Eight Poker delivers depth and excitement through its dynamic betting structure, rewarding Ante bonuses, and the pursuit of double jackpots. A bold, high-engagement casino card game where strategy meets chance — layered with multi-tier bets.

Fast, strategic and streamlined dynamic betting.

Hard Eight Poker delivers multi-tiered game strategy through its Ante bet and Red or Black wagering. After placing the Ante bet — along with an optional Progressive Eight side bet — the dealer draws two cards for the player. The player then decides whether to raise the Ante by 1x or 2x, betting on the outcome of a three-card Red or Black hand, with the option to add an Insurance bet equal to 1x Ante for a fourth bonus card — enhancing the hand into a three-card poker combination. Bonus payouts on Eight, Pair of Eights, Hard Eight, and Triple Eights bring high-stakes energy to every round — all further boosted by two Progressive Jackpots for even greater rewards.

Hard Eight Poker

How to Play

Place an Ante bet — along with an optional Progressive Eight side bet — and the dealer draws two cards for the player. The player then decides whether to raise the Ante by 1x or 2x, betting on the outcome of a three-card Red or Black hand.

Optionally, the player can add an Insurance bet equal to 1x Ante for a fourth bonus card, which may be used to complete the three-card Red or Black poker hand.

Winnings

A winning hand consists of a three-card Red or Black poker hand. Additional bonus payouts are awarded on the Ante bet for various combinations of Eights, adding strategic depth and high-stakes excitement to every round. Progressive Jackpots are active only on the Progressive Eight side bet.

Gameplay

Hard Eight Poker can be played one-on-one (player vs. dealer) or in multiplayer mode with up to five players against the dealer. Each player wagers individually against the house — hands are unaffected by others’ wagers.

Red/Black

The player holds a three-card Red or Black hand. With the optional Insurance, the player can use the dealer’s fourth card to complete the three-card hand.

Eight
The player’s first two cards form a pair of Fours — pays 5:1 on the Ante bet.

Pair of Eights
The player’s first two cards form a pair of Eights, with the Joker in play where applicable — pays 5:1 on the Ante bet.

Hard Eight
The player’s three cards form in order two Twos (Deuces) and one Four — pays 25:1 on the Ante bet.

Triple Eights
The player’s three cards form three of a kind Eights, with the Joker in play where applicable — pays 50:1 on the Ante bet.

Progressive Jackpot

Active only when the Progressive Eight side bet is in play.

Major Jackpot — Player & Dealer hold a Red and Black Pair of Eights — no Joker
Minor Jackpot — Player & Dealer hold a Pair of Eights — Joker is in play

Joker

The Joker acts as a wild card and may represent either a Red Eight or a Black Eight when forming a winning hand. It can help complete a Red or Black combination that includes an Eight. The Joker is valid for Minor Jackpot outcomes only and is not valid in any Major Jackpot winning hand.

Insurance

The Insurance is an optional buy-in equal to 1x the Ante, allowing the player to use the dealer's fourth card to complete their hand.
